Prima rent a car

General conditions

A Rental Agreement (R.A) will be issued by Prima. The rental will be subject to the terms and conditions printed on the reverse side of the contract. The Client is asked to read carefully and confirm by signature the acceptance of R.A. At the time of check out (when receiving the car) the Renter must have a copy of the passport and driving license.

Reservations

Reservations will be confirmed for car groups. If we don’t have a group available, we will give you an up-grade in the same conditions. For easy reservations, please have the following information ready: your departure date, flight and number, or the exact location where you need us to bring the car.

Payment and prepayment

Prima accepts Mastercard/Eurocard and Visa. For online payments we accept also  JCB, Diners and Paypal. Cash payments are permitted. Bank transfers are permitted only before starting the rental period. Prima's common terms on cancellation for prepaid reservations:

           -  with less than 30 days before the agreed arrival time will be applied a penalty of 30% from 1 day rental rate  

          -  with less than 7 days before agreed arrival time will be applied a penalty of 1 day rental rate  

          -  with less than 24 hours before agreed time, no refund will be generated.

Rental Rates

The minimum rental period is one day (24 hours). First hour over 24 is free of charge, over one hour delay a full day will be charged according to standard rate. For monthly or long terms rentals information on request.

Delivery/Collection

Free of charge at Downtown Office. A 5 EUR fee will apply for any address in Bucharest.  To another city there is a charge of  0.25 EUR/km from Bucharest City Center.

Airport Rentals: 10 EUR fee per pick-up / drop-off.   Extra Office hours: 10 EUR fee per pick-up / drop-off between 20:00 to 08:00.

Car availability

All cars are available in Bucharest and other cities upon request.

Special equipment

Baby seats, snow chains and roof racks may be hired for 15 EUR/rental. Winter tyres are charged with 10 euro/rental. The roof box is 5 EUR/day. (20 EUR minimum)

Liability

Renters liability in case of damage or loss of rented car or parts of it, also in case of fire or theft may be reduced to :

- the amount paid as security deposit, if you have chosen the Standard Insurance ( CDP & TP);
- zero, if you have chosen the Full Coverage Insurance (FCI).

The Renter is responsible and must pay all damages if the driver is under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or without presentation of Police Documents.

Fuel / Prepaid fuel

The fuel is not included in the RA price and is the responsibility of the Client. The vehicle will be dropped off with the same fuel level at the delivery time. The missing fuel, stated by the fuel level indicator, will be charged at a rate of € 1.7 per liter.
Also Prima gives it's customers the possibility to buy full tank of fuel in advance for with favorable price, at 1.2  € per liter, this service frees customers from the trouble of filling up the tank before returning the rental car.

Accidents

In the unfortunate event of accident involving your car, it is important that details are reported to nearest police station and an Accident Report or Repairing Authorization to be obtained.

Cross border policy

Cars are allowed to cross the border only with our permission.
